Now that's a lot of planning! Something I don't do much of. , thus my handle.
Have a great time in and around Banff. Go for a drive up the road to the icefields and Jasper if you get bored.
Happy Glamping.

I booked Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court on Wed. morning at 8 MST and although I had picked 6 sites that I preferred,I didn't get any of them. My wife and I were on 2 computers and when the site kept crashing she went to the phone and got through in about 30 minutes. Got 10 days in July and feel like we were very very lucky. Looking forward to the Canadian Rockies.

I hear ya, took me an hour and a half on Wed to book 3 sites in Tunnel Mountain Village II site kept crashing. Later that day I finally got thru on the phone and told the person who answered that they ought to book on the "window" system (like a lot of reserveAmerica places do) instead of opening the whole season on 1 day, fell on deaf ears. we are just staying 1 nite though, going up the Icefields parkway thru Jasper and on to Alaska

Wow! I'm in Trailer Court #145 the first 2 nights, #845 the 3rd night, and finally #141 (my goal site) for the last 7 nights in July.

Wow, TechWriter. Now I see how you got your 'handle'.

I thought I was a bit loony looking at Google Maps and Earth when booking places. But you really do your research well. Good job. I'm not sure I'd have the patience to write it all up.

I'm like my folks have been posting - finding that booking sites to be more-and-more difficult and having to be very attentive to setting my schedule to be available when reservation times open on web sites.

A general question to anyone as I see Playinthru called to make reservations.... do you think the call in number has sites set aside that only they can book or do you think they use the same system as we do online?

As far as I could tell they are using the same system. When the girl found a site that matched our dates she said we better take this one, because if she moves on to look for another we will lose the one she has. They probably don't have the crashing issues we had.

I think Americans should just be happy that you have the same access to Canadian national parks as Canadian do and at the same prices. The parks are beautiful and very popular. Enjoy your time at the parks[emoji4]

yea - nice reciprocal agreement between CA and USA......
USA folks get to go north in the summer, CA folks all go to FL for the winter.

Let's hope no one puts a tariff on that!!!

Our own Canadian economists are calling for a necessity to "weaken" the Canadian Loonie relative to the US Greenback... so we have our own "traitors" within...

Yesterday booked two nights in late May at Tunnel Mtn Trailer Court in Banff and 3 nights at Wabasso ( dry camping) near Jasper for 3. In between I plan to get 2 nights in the Lake Louise Campground which is non-reservable in late May.

*** In late May should there be any issues getting a site in the Lake Louise Campground if in I'm arriving on a Sunday? Which at that date is first come , first serve. Our last trip to Alaska (2016) we were going to stop in Lake Louise on our return thru that area Sept 10 (ish) I called two weeks out and no sites available.
