I will be in Vancouver this September. I was there only 1 time before. I would like some pointers on what to do and see, where to stay in the city. We did the bus tour. Gorgeous place.

So many things to do in Vancouver. As far as staying, I am more of a camp in the wild sort of guy, which will change when I get the fifth wheel. As far as what to see... Stanley park seawall, Grouse Mountain gondola for the view, horseshoe bay for some fish and chips, whistler if you are up for a bit of a drive. Shoot me a pm and I can fill you in.

Woe, I guess I have to find a different toad, I won't take mine to these places.
Been looking at another F150 4x4.
Thanks for the Posts

Exactly why I'm looking for an older CJ-7 or something to tow behind...

CJ's are getting harder to find and are sought after both by collectors and by 4x4 enthusiasts.

YJ's are considered ugly by most Jeep aficionados because of their square headlights and funny 80's styling. Avoid the early YJ's with their Peugeot transmissions and look for the newer mid-90's versions.

TJ's are coming down in price rapidly, too, since the JK's have been out almost a decade.

Awesome thread although the wife and I don't boondock a lot we used to occassionally head out to the desert where there are no "current bushes".

This one is from Little Sahara Sand dune recreation area in Utah. One of our frequently visited areas until we sold our sand rail and quads last year.

I have a few from when we stayed @ Valley of Fire a couple of years ago but they are on my home computer, I will have to post them up, they were pretty cool pics.

I would like to boondock more but the wife like's her full-hook ups. I tell her that we are completely self contained and have our own power generation but for some reason she likes being in a campground with hook-ups, which I do for the most part as well but there are some awesome places we run across in our travels that I would like to just pull off and spend the night.

Looking forward to everyone's pictures.

Mike.

Definitely take the ferry over to Victoria. Absolutely gorgeous. Go to Butchart Gardens Map of The Butchart Gardens Locations | Victoria BC | The Butchart Gardens

Also in Victoria,

http://www.fairmont.com/empress-victoria/

Take the Gondola up to the top of Grouse Mountain & Whisler too:

https://www.grousemountain.com/

Whistler BC Canada | PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola | Tourism Whistler

Take a guided bus tour of the city too.....incredible.

I love that area of the PNW. Love Vancouver and Canada.

Enjoy!!
