Thinking of making a stop in Branson, MO on the return route home and would like advice on a nice campground in Branson-- full hookups, level sites, big rig friendly,, and easy in / out from I-65 -- coming into the area from KC, MO down I-65 --

only planning on maybe 3 nights. Any help greatly appreciated!
Also, any opinions on 3 nights in the area -adequate ?

This is where we made reservations for two nights in the near future. Haven't been there, but appears to have more than adequate amenities for our needs.

Try Ozarks RV Resort on Table rock Lake "Home" 30 minuets to Branson and 45 t0 Eureka Springs.....Bruce

U.S. 65 is not a Interstate system road.
And is nowhere near I65

3 nights will give you two full days to see any shows.
Do your research ahead of time for show times and tickets before getting there.

I have stayed at Branson Lakeside RV Park. Access is through the old downtown section and gets kind of slow, but other than that it's pretty easy in and out. It is just okay as far as the park infrastructure goes, but it has a lot of pluses: Clean restrooms/showers, the managers are very friendly and helpful, it is right next to the Branson Mall with shopping and restaurants, Mall has water show at nights, free ride from the edge of park to the Mall on golf-cart style trolley, (tips are suggested), you can get their phone number and call for them to meet you when you want to go, there is a free trolley from the mall (front of Bass Pro) around old downtown and back. Branson gets warm in summer. You might want to ask for a shaded site. We stayed last summer in a lake front site...no trees...107 degrees...we baked. But we will stay there anytime we stay at Branson.

Consider the KOA. Very close to the "strip". This is where I stay. Go to Branson, Missouri Camping/Campground, Cabins/Cottages, RV Park, Show Tickets and check it out.

Hello RoadHappy,
We plan on staying at the same motorhome park in Branson during latter part of April 2014. We have a reunion at the Hilton Hotel. Is there a need to have car pulled behind your motorhome in order to travel back-and-forth from the Hilton to the RV park? How about public transportation to and from the Hilton convention center; what is available? Any information that you can help me with would be appreciated - or from anyone else who may be reading this post.

Table Rock State Park has FHU and is about 20 minutes from town. Nice level concrete pads in the new section. Stayed there last year.

RV4ME.... The Hilton Convention Center is located across the street from the Branson Landing Mall. From the RV park, it would be quite a walk...doable, but I would not want to do that. There is quite a lot to see in Branson...you might want a vehicle. But if the shuttles are in season, you could call and ask them to pick you up at the RV park. When they drop you off at the mall, it is a short walk over to the Hilton.

RV4Me...You are welcome. This campground is owned by the city of Branson, so the office managers are very helpful in giving information about attractions, directions, suggestions, etc. They probably will have the phone number so that you can call the shuttle service to get you over to the mall. Next to the office is a small lounge building where they have flyers and advertisements of things to do in the area.

In April, you might want to ask for a waterfront site. They have several fishing piers just steps from your site. If you are interested in trout fishing, bring your gear. You will be 30 yards from a really nice trout area. It's free (with a fishing license, of course). If you are going to be on the fishing piers, you will want a warm jacket. This water is very cold, even on warm days.
