We plan in being in Branson, MO the first week of July. Can anyone recommend a RV Park? We have a 39" MH with a toad. We will also have our 12 year old Grandson with us. We plan on seeing a few shows, what else is there to do while there?

After trying several of the CGs around Branson, we now always stay at the Branson KOA (800-467-7611). It is 1/2 mile from the main strip. There are pull through site with and without trees. It is a full service KOA. The KOA people are very knowledgeable of Branson and can advise you of the activities available. You can also go here to get a good idea of what is available. Ask the KOA people which shows have the entire family involved. These shows usually interest the grand kids the most.
There is a go cart and water boat ride right on the strip. The grandson will get a kick out of the rides.

If you like Corps of Engineers parks, there is a nice one at Table Rock Lake several miles out of town but an easy drive. If you have the 50% Senior discount pass, it makes it very attractive.

Music City Kampground - Right next to Titanic
Tall Pines CG-about 3 miles west
Acorn Acres CG-about 5 miles west
We've stayed at these CGs and would highly recommend any one of them

We have stayed at ABC(America's Best Campground) two times since 2004. It is a very nice CG and away from the traffic but assessible to all the shows and golf courses, etc.. Rated very high TL directory.

I would second the GaryKD post. We stayed there in October. Very nice park with plenty of room for big rigs. Mostly pull thru's. Staff is great and location is very very close to everything. Have Fun and be Safe. Happy Motoring!!!

There are many campgrounds, each has their own advantages. A ten year old would like the "Haygoods Variety Show". Our grandkids liked the Showboat Branson Belle and Dogwood Canyon. It can get a little warm and humid in mid-summer.

I know it is not the ideal time weather wise to travel in the Mid West. We have a family reunion in SE Oklahoma the last week of June so we are planning our trip around that.

We have stayed in most all the parks there and prefer ABC or Americas Best. There is another member in this forum who both lives there and works at one of the hotels. Her handle here is Auntsmurf, give her a message shout and she can help you in just about any thing you need to know. She also lives in her trailer at ABC and also her husband works at another one of the hotels. Good luck and have fun

Your grandson would probably love Silver Dollar City. Grandma and Grandpa would probably like it too! An amusement park but they also have many shows, craft exhibitors etc.
