We've never RVd in TX before and looking at Brownsville for the month of March. Checking on the internet "Paul's RV" and "Rio RV" look like a couple of good spots. What can anyone tell me about them? Do we need to make reservations in advance? Any help would be appreciated.

We are in Gulf Shores AL (Luxury RV Resort) until this Monday. Then we are headed down to Bville and are staying at Paul's, checking in on Friday. I will remember to look around at some campgrounds and post my opinions. Jeffrey

We stayed at Luxury RV resort in Gulf Shores a couple of years ago and were very satisfied with it. Looking forward to hearing what you think of Pauls. Keep us posted.
Thanx

We will keep you posted. Pulling out of Luxury tomorrow, going to visit the USS Alabama, then hit the Flying J's all the way to Brownsville. Gulf Shores has been devestated by hurricane Ivan. We have never been here before so we don't know what it looked like before last November, but all the Hotel / Condos on the beach front are closed and being rebuilt. Broken glass still covers most of the side walks, light poles are leaning over. All structures south of the campground are boarded up. Most of the drinking establishments on the beach are closed and being torn down. Strip centers and condos to be replacing them. The big hotels are 1/2 way done on the repairs. So morning beach walks are very private. The only two resturants open are Mikee's and Papa Rocco's. Luxury RV has a new shower / laundry house and the club house is new and almost completed.
