Cade's Cove

Looking for a nice campground near Cade's Cove in Townsend, TN. We have stayed at Big Meadow, just wondering about others.

Wife and I 'weathered' a rainstorm in Cades Cove during Thanksgiving, and it was great! Since you are at the 'head of the hollar', i.e. the end of the cove, the wind can gather some speed at times and sound great at night. That being said, be sure to try and avoid parking under any trees with suspicious limbs that may come down. It seems the trees were pretty well trimmed and dead/dying growth was being removed this winter. Hope this helps in a small way.

We stayed at the Townsend KOA a few years back. Very nice, quiet and right on the river.

X2, but there were several others that looked pretty good too. Our neighbors there has an impromptu hoe down with others in the park that brought various instructions. Lot of fun.
