Took our motorhome out for the first time this weekend. Went to the Food Lion Auto Fair at the Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. We had a nice trip, and a great time. Except for the 4 deer that ran out in front of us. Nearly had to stop and change my pants after that. But the man upstairs heard my prayer, and we made it through ok. The car show was great, and it was huuuuge!!. We walked for over 5 hours, and only saw maybe 2/3 of it all. Couldn't go on. Got some serious sunburn on the neck to remind me to stock the sunblock in the RV for future trips. The campground was nice, but is of course totally geared towards accomodating the race track. All the sites in Phase one where we were had full water, sewer, power, cable, and internet hook up. The drawbacks: no trees, no fire pits, tiny spots. I positioned the motorhome close to one side of the site, and when I pulled the canopy down, I cleared my neighbors RV by about 6 inches. Pretty tight. But everyone was freindly, didn't have a bunch of noisy drunks, and all in all it was a great weekend. I'm sure we will do it again.
