There is also an annex to the campgrounds out at Canyon Lake that has some nice views and good sites. However, it's a ways out of SA on the North side...close to all the good roads for the Hill Country however, so it may be a trade off.

Decided to go with The KOA in town. It's location seems to be the best for the attractions we would like to visit. Plus I have not had a bad stay at a KOA. Yet. So thanks for all the in put it helped a lot .

Looked at Braunig Lake on satelite and actually from Donop Road the sites looks reasonably nice - can anyone who has been there suggest the best sites to reserve - thanks...
