Talking Camp is Open!!!

Very excited to be at our campground on Lake Erie for opening weekend. For those of us in the "north" it stinks to have to wait for the weather to turn. Came up last night to take advantage of the nicest day in the forecast. Can't wait for the rest of our camp family to arrive!

Warm wishes to everyone out there camping in this chilly weather

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Also from the NE Ohio area...Was all set to go this weekend, but made a decision Thursday to hold off. I was at a garage sale Friday where it snowed big white flakes for 2-3 minutes..??? I was golfing in Feb. ??? what gives....

Also had snow pellets Saturday morning......

The next two weekends we have commitments that will keep us from getting out.

Our summer quarters are just east of Holland Michigan. We are reverse snow birds. We head north in the summer to get out of the oppressive summer heat in Georgia.

We took the MH up last week and cleaned up our lot. Heading back up in 3 weeks and can hardly wait to get back. Possibility of light snow tonight so it may not look like this in the morning.

Too cold and wet this weekend, but look out next weekend! We went to Alabama a couple weeks ago, so we got our summer started then. Love the RV life style!

We are at Portage View in Port Clinton - we are on the Portage River a few miles from the lake. Really the best of both worlds. Close enough to the lake to go out to fish/boat/swim at the sand bar, but when the western basin has kicked up the waves we can stay on the river and do all the same things!

Are you on the lake too?

Beautiful spot. You really have put a ton of work into your spot!!!!

We just switched campgrounds at the end of last year and then spots at the beginning of this season. We got a ton of work done this weekend, but we have ton more to do.

Interested in route you take from Macon. How long does it take. We are in Northeast GA between I-85 and US 441. Sounds cooler for summer. Thanks.
