Camp Williams

Hi Everyone

My wife and I are thinking about doing a local trip next weekend

I found a place near Azusa California, in the San Gabriel Mountains...Camp Williams

It is next to a river, and looks a little funky.

HAs anybody ever been there? If so, what did you think?

Thanks!

I've heard of Camp Williams- in Utah. The one in the San Gabriels doesn't ring a bell.

Call them first and ensure they are still open. I used to do some gold mining there and it didn't look open to me.

If you can go during the week or get lucky,. Big Bear is nice right now. We just got back from there Sunday. Joshua Tree is nice this time of year too.

My name is Mark and I am the manager of Camp Williams. We are the only campground with FHU sites in the LA moutain area. We have just three FHU sites, all the rest are tent sites along the river. If memory serves me I think you did stay with us. I hope you enjoyed your stay.

Dude! Is this an awesome site or what? Ask about a campground and VIOLA! The Manager of the campground responds! I LOVE this site!

I love this site also. It has helped me a lot through the years with my RVing. The gold miner that commented on our closure is most likley thinking of Follows Camp. It has been closed since 2006. It was a mile before us. We have never been closed unless we were rebuilding from a flood.
