Campground for Christmas in the southeast

Do you have any suggestions of a great campground/place to go for the Christmas holidays? We have 2 grown kids who will come with us and we'd like it to be within about 4 hours of Atlanta.

Callaway Gardens near Pine Mountain Georgia. Great Christmas light drive through and lots of other things to do in the gardens.

Pine Mountain RV Resort is just a few miles away.
Also FDR state park has a campground

X2 on the Callaway Gardens area..... we stay at the FD Roosevelt State Park, which is just a mile or so away from Pine Mountain and Callaway Gardens. The small towns around the area really get into the Christmas spirit..lots of shops and things to see. You will be about 45-50 minutes south of Atlanta, so getting to the big city is easy. Best wishes and be safe

Oh wow thanks for bringing this subject up. Since I'm solo now (wife and my bestest friend of 25 years passed) I best be making my plans. Not really traveling now with this heat and humidity. I prefer the cooler/colder areas. The old saying of "put on more clothes to stay warmer applies". Besides I like the heavy blankets during the cold seasons.
