Our son is relocating to Omaha this summer and we want to help him out with the move. We will stay in our RV. Does anyone know of a campground in the Omaha area?

Well, Mr. Suncruiser Tom....
I'm leaving so. Georgia in the morning heading out that way myself. I'll be transiting Omaha and looked for campgrounds in that area. Since I'm "enroute" to Washington, I chose a good sounding campground in Little Sioux, IA. It's about 30 miles north of Omaha, and that might just be too far out from Omaha to suit you.
It is a Passport America campground, however.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

The city of Bellevue Ne has a great campground on the Missouri River.(Haworth Park) It is 10 miles south of Omaha, 2 miles from Offutt AFB and about three miles from shopping center, Wal-Mart etc. They have limited 50 amp service and water at most sites. You can make a reservation by calling 402-293-3098. It is the best campground in the immediate area. Sites are about $15.00 a night I believe. Welcome to our city. Be sure to see our world class zoo.

Chuck,

Thank you for your reply regarding campgrounds in the Omaha area. Could you please comment on the following Municipal Park:

N.P. DODGE PARK
(Along the Missouri River)
11005 J.J. Pershing Drive (via I-680 North)

I would personally not go to Dodge Park. They have had some problems with people in the campground that are not camping there and it is not very close to anything. Very heavy traffic on the week-ends because of the soccer and ball fields. Just my opinion!
