Campground in Portland Oregon

Hi,

we are in Portland/Oregon now for 4 days. The "Jantzen"-RV-Park is very noisy.

Is there an other rv-park?

Thanks.

Walter

Do you need to be right in Portland? A beautiful State Park, LL Stub Stewart, is about 45 minutes away off of Hwy 26.

About 1/2 hr from Portland is the Ole Stone Village in McMinnville.

Right next door to the Evergreen Air and Space museum, home of the Spruce Goose.

Many thanks. But McMinnville is to far away from Portland. Google says:
1 hour. 13 Min.36,3 Meilen

Regards. Walter

Yeah, being right under the PDX flight path doesn't help, and everything on Hayden Island is a bit noisy.

Try Columbia River RV Park off Marine Drive. Pretty close, but not as close to the flight path. In terms of close in parks, that's about it. Everything else is at least 40 minutes out.

We stay at Ainsworth State park near Troutdale on I84 about 30 minutes west of downtown. Have full service and located near scenic falls. It's a no resevation park but probably can get in now. There is a site dedicated to Portland you might look at. Portland Oregon Camping

Roamers Rest

I stayed at this campground for 4 months last year. It is really quiet, right on the Tuallatin River. I would highly suggest it.

We stay at Portland RV Park | Fairview, Oregon | Columbia River Gorge | Recreation / Travel during Thanksgiving weekend. Easy to get to and quiet, and close to shopping.

We looked at a half dozen CGs in the Portland area when we were there two weeks ago. Fairview was the best deal for us in terms of amenities and price but in the end we stayed at our friends house and just stored the RV on their lot continuing our trip to the coast.

We always stay at Portland Fairview RV Park when visiting Portland. A well run park. There is a bus stop right there and transit in the area is very good. One can ride the system all day for $5, $2 for seniors.
