I am looking for a campground in Savannah,Ga for approx 8 rigs. Trip is set for March of 2006, we where looking at going to Belaire Woods ampground but after reading several bad reviews we have decided to find another campground.
Has anyone stayed at any of the campgrounds in the area and would they recommend them.

You might want to check out Skidaway island state park.

We've stated at Rivers End Campground on Tybee, Island, and liked it. Close to Savannah, and within walking distance to the beach and the river.

Skidaway State Park is close to Savannah and is a very nice place to stay. There are no sewer hookups, but the campsites are large with electricity and water. About 30 miles south of Savannah is Ft. McAllister Historic Park. The park is where Sherman ended his march to the sea. The park is very nice; in fact, I like it better than Skidaway Island. The sites are large with water and electricity but no sewer. Ft. McAllister is somewhat isolated, but it is in easy driving distance of Savannah and Tybee Island.
