Campground proximate to Arch in St Louis
Heading east Sunday and hope to find a place to park trailer near the Arch--anyone have personal experience on a decent one? Have looked at RVParkReviews, but would like recent report.
Thank you,
Joe

Casino Queen in East St. Louis. We stayed there a few times.
The neighborhood from the highway to the park can be dicey, but follow the signs and you will find a safe camping haven. They'll even shuttle you to the train station so you can take it right to the arch or the baseball stadium.
Only complaint is that the RR tracks run right past the campground.

I have stayed at the Casino Queen RV Park last year, 200 South Front Street, East St Louis, IL 62201, casinoqueen.com, (800) 777-0777.
Not a bad location right across the river from the arch.

Casino Queen alumni here as well. Be careful and you’ll be ok.

Having lived in St. Louis no one willingly went to East St. Louis... where the Casino Queen RV is located.
When visiting now we stayed at Babler State Park which has huge grassy sites in a park-like setting. Easy to hop on the highway to take us to downtown St. Louis or to the zoo and museums. Do it between 9-3.

I'm sorry my coach map is in storage, but...
We spent about a week at the KOA just over the river NE of St. Louis in IL. Nice place, quiet and the regular Wal-Mart etc. a couple miles down the road.

Casino Queen. Only real option. Pretty much a parking lot but enough room between RVs. Note the closer you get to the water the less level the it is. We had to move back a few spaces for our stay there last Spring. We'd go back.
