Campground recommendation

We are looking for a nice campground in the TN-NC-VA area for late September and early October. We would like a wooded site, full hook-up site with a little room. I don't want to be in a field with another RV 10 feet away. Do y'all have some ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Blessings,

PT

We love the Townsend, TN KOA. Trees, right on the river. Peace and quiet but you can still drive to Pigeon Forge if you want some excitement.

We like the Great Outdoors RV Resort in Franklin, NC. The owners, Mike and Polly are super nice and the place is a 10:10:10 rated on Good Sam. It is not wooded, however, it sits up on a mountain and you can look down into the valley. Lots of cool little towns to explore nearby.

We have stayed at New Bern KOA in NC and Virginia Beach KOA in VA. We were happy at both. Both Semi wooded. Both had good space.

Check out Fancy Gap, NC, KOA. Located just off I-77 , exit #8 just inside Va from NC.
Nice smaller park, very clean and lots of space between sites. And, lots of shade. Almost every spot is surronded by shade trees.
This is our "go to" campground when we just want to get away for a long weekend. Probably been there 7-8 times.
