Campground recommendation near Fort Lauderdale

Will be there in 4 days or so and need to stay 1-2 nights. Any recommendations? The reviews are just awful in that area. We have 3 small dogs so the one place I found Yacht Haven that was ok only allowed 2 dogs.

We used Sunshine Holiday as home base for 4 days a couple of years ago. I wouldn't want to stay long period of time but short I would stay there again.

There is a new KOA in Davie which is outside of Fort Lauderdale but I've never been there so I can't recommend it. I suggest Marcham Park. It is a County park with full 50 amp hookups and a paved pad for $40. a night. There is also CB Smith and TY Park which are also county parks with the same facilities but they are closer into the city and you will get street noise. Markham park is a very large park with lots of activities which includes a firearms range. The noise might be disturbing to your dogs during the day. Yacht Haven is right next to I-95 and under the airports flight path. I don't hear anything good about it.

If you want a real upscale place, check out Aztec RV in Margate.

Check Broward.org (think that's right), some great state parks in the area. One about 40 minutes south. If you can't find it let me know and I will post the info when I get home later today.

D in Davie. The county parks seem to be booked but we are a little flexible on days so I will see if I can make anything work.

Thanks

Yeah if we have too but didn't really want to this time around since we have family things to take care of and won't be able to enjoy the facility.

They are County parks and they are quite good. CB Smith is very nice, and I have heard good things about TY Park and Markham Park.

Thanks everyone for your help. We found a spot for 2 nights at one of the county park. We do have to make our way down the coast slowly since we couldn't get in till Monday, not a bad thing.
