Campground Recommendation Near Gulfport Ms

Looking for a place to stay somewhere within say 70 miles any direction from gulfport ms. Picking up the airstream this upcoming week and want to stay near the dealer to kick the thing around a bit.

Ease of entry and parking important, as this is my first time pulling a 28' trailer.

Thanks!

Congratulations on the Airstream! In the area, my vote goes to Majestic Oaks in Biloxi. We were in the area about two years ago. Checked out all the parks. This was our favorite. Having said that, we did come across a state park, probably to the east, that had been destroyed by Katrina. They were rebuilding the facility. I would think it would be done by now. If it has hook-ups, it would be worth a look. You'll want hook-ups. A/C is what makes that area inhabitable!

No doubt about that. Majestic oaks so far is my front runner, but if I could find a state park, I'd take it!!

Buccaneer State park is nice. It was completely reworked after hurricane Katrina.
We like Hollywood Casino in Bay St Louis. Nice wide concrete pads, walking distance to casino.
Campground of the South in Gulfport is ok.

We have stayed at Shepard State Park in Gautier several times. (About 30 miles east of Gulfport) No sewer hook-up, just a dump station. Most sites are back in with plenty of room. Very reasonable. We've stayed in a pop-up, 29' TT and 37' MH.

Try Cajun RV park in Biloxi. I'm here right now, great park and reasonably priced. We come here often.

Hollywood Casino RV park in Bay St. Louis. We've stayed there many times. Concrete pads, full hook-ups, all back ins but plenty of room to accomplish the task, easy access.
