Campground Report: Oliver Lee near White Sands Nat'l Monument

Here's an excerpt from my new blog post about Oliver Lee Memorial State Park Campground near White Sands National Monument in New Mexico:

Oliver Lee Memorial Park Campground--phew, that's a mouthful--is a good jumping off point to visit White Sands National Monument. It's the closest place you can camp from what I understand and that's one reason I chose this place. White Sands is a place I've wanted to visit in order to photograph for some time. White Sands, by the way, is sometimes closed due to missile testing at the nearby air base.

For the complete report please visit my blog Russ on the Road. You'll also find many other campground reports, great photography and photo tips, interviews with people I've met on the road and more. You can opt to receive email noticies when I make additional posts. look for the Follow Russ text entry field.
