We stayed January and some of February in Boyd's on Stock island. Everyone will tell you it's too small, to crowded. Well it's not. Yes is it cozy, yep, are the people there great, yep. Is the pool fantastic yep. The spaces are just the right size to park an rv and have space for a table,a BBQ grill and a hammock. There is some much to do with in 5miles of Boyd's. No 1.5 hour long bus rides x2 (return trip), you can bike to food, beaches with sand, fishing and sunsets.
Just cuz you don't have a football sized parking spot doesn't make it a park to be avoided. Btw, if you want a spot for next winter better call tomorrow as they are booked for most spots by this time for next winter. That's how much a lot of people love this park.

Ok, rant over.

No matter what park you pick, it's key west for god sake, it's. Fricken awesome

End some time trying different RV joints.
Although we only spent 3 days in the keys, a little place called Leo's was very convenient. A little tight if you are a big rig, but if you are 30 or under, it is amazingly convenient. Not fancy but it has everything and is clean. Can bike to Key West, or the us stops adjacent to the property, and you can walk or bike to numerous restaurants. Again, not fancy, but we would definitely go to Leo's again.

Just got back from Bluewater Key RV Resort......loved it!! The rates (bayside) where 155.00 daily (that doesn't include tax). The canal side, while nice can be a distance from the canal. Someone on here suggested Mangrove Mama's as a good place to eat.....and it WAS. It's at Mile marker 21....while it looks like a dive....you gotta try it.

Can't beat Bluewater Key. Two groups rent out sites - dot com and dot net. We've used the dot net group. Love it!

We are staying at the sugarloaf KOA this winter for 10 days. It was the only place that did not have issue with our dogs (nicer and better manners than most people) ..... So for me, it is the coolest camp ground in the keys
