Yep.. I agree with Lee. Huntington Beach SP is right across the road from Brookgreen. In fact, at one time it was all part of the same estate. You may be able to book if you are in/out during the week, or you may also be able to book a site on the back loop in the woods. Not as nice as those nearer the beach, but if your main reason for visiting is the gardens, then you'll not mind.
The next closest are the big public campgrounds in in south Myrtle Beach...Lake Wood, Ocean Lakes, and Pirateland. Myrtle Beach State Park is just north of those.
