Campgrounds close to Kittery Maine.

Going to do some pre Christmas shopping in Kittery, Maine. I found one place that was ~$80.00/night, not what I'm looking for. Something around the $50.00 dollar mark would be good and not to far away. Mid Oct is the time line.

Thanks.

You can dry camp for free at the Kittery Trading Post. Call them first for permission.

Howdy!

We have boondocked in the back parking lot of the Kittery Trading Post. We just asked them for permission while visiting and they directed us were to park.

Thanks everyone. The problem I'm running into is that the camps all seem to be closed as of yesterday, but I'll keep looking.

I'm staying at the KOA in Orchard Beach. It is up the road a bit but nice and Freeport isn't that far for shopping.

Most of the parks in Maine start closing for the year after the Columbus weekend (this weekend), some as of the 19th.
