Question Campgrounds Eastern Oregon

We are leaving Eugene, OR on Saturday 9/29 headed for Twin Falls. I know we can't make it all the way with out an overnight. Does anyone have any ideas on where some overnight options would be?
Also what would be the easiest driving route to take...we get nervous on narrow mountain roads. 40' Country Coach towing a 4 door Jeep
Thanks for your help in advance.

We enjoyed unity lake state park. It is off oh highway 26. May be a bit north for you but along the way.

with the fire near sisters i would avoid both hiway 20 and 22 off of i-5.
my suggestion is hiway 58 out of eugene to 97 to bend and then 20 with a stop for the night in burns.burns rv park is a nice park located on the way out of town on your right

Funny. I avoided the route you mention below in August because of the fires near Burns.
