Campgrounds Florida northeast and central
I may be asking tooooo much here, but we want to head south for 3 weeks in early to mid March in Florida. Looking for a place around Jacksonville/Daytona Beach or west coast Sarasota/Clearwater. Prefer east coast. Here's the catch. We prefer not to pay $110 a night or over $100/night on average on a weekly rate, prefer full hookup, but your awning not touching the next guy. Seems everything I look at is a parking lot with RV's so close you can hear what your neighbor is thinking . We have a 34' 5th wheel. Suggestions please.

If you are referring to Ocean Pond in the forest, it is OK, but only about 28 sites with water and electric.

North Beach Camp Resort in Vilano Beach adjacent to St. Augustine. They have weekly and monthly rates also.
Trust me you won't be disappointed and will want to return sometime soon.

Don't pay the daily or weekly rate. Get a monthly rate and leave early. You can stay at state parks for up to 2 weeks time. You must leave for 3 days and then return. There are many wonderful state parks in FL. The prices are about $30/day.

State parks in florida are real tough to get in from around nov to apr if the stay includes a weekend day.
Just for fun i checked on state park near tampa ( not fort desoto) for a 6 day stay mid mar. 2 sites open out of 100. Got to book way in advance for a state park in fl during snowbird season
There are quite a few places to stay with space and for less than 30 a night in winter in fl but they will not have hook ups.

I live in Florida. THANK YOU for visiting us. We welcome you!
The tourist industry helps keep Florida alive. In 2015, Florida set a record of 105 million visitors. And, 2016 is going well so far.
According to a State of Florida website there are over 700 campgrounds throughout the state with 100,000 campsites. Now, don't ask me how to find them.
PS: When it rains, we call it Liquid Sunshine! Keep those tourist dollars coming! Yup. I don't miss having a state income tax either.

Beaverly beach campground is between Daytona and st Augustine. Probably at or slightly less vs your max and you are feet from the neighbor RV. Your also feet away from the ocean thus the price and close neighbors are worth it

Snow birds are fine. tourist are good also. only issue i had (past tense since i now full time and would be considered a snowbird also) is that the state parks do not have decent penalties for cancalations and do not hold back a small percentage of sites for people with last min plans........like a local who decides on a wed to go camp on a weekend. I kinda loved hated how mich does it. residents of the state pay a small fee to dnr when they register the car or whatever to use state parks and such, non residents pay like 3 times the fee to have the right to purchase a site for a night or a week or whatever. Again hated it as a visitor, great idea for locals to have a fair chance to enjoy their state parks. i tend to stay at places that have no power or water so it does no effect me but it did in the past when i lived in fl full time and just wanted to get out for a weekend.
Only other thing that used to drive me nuts as a working stiff was how it seems every retired person and tourist wants to be on the road between 7 and 9 am and 3-5 pm. At least it seemed that way in winte when i needed to get to work but once apr past is was clearer roads and commutes were so faster.
