We're plaaning a trip up through the Arkansas Ozarks, ending in Branson, MO. Can anyone recommend a nice campground in the Branson area for a 4-5 day stay with a 32' Jayco TT. Wifi preferred. Also any recommended shows in Branson.

Hi Roy,
We have stayed at several of the Branson CGs. We now stay at the KOA (800-467-7611) in Branson. The sites are large and it is very close to the main road with most of the shows. We have also stayed at Shenanigans CG (800-338-7275) and also like it. It is also very close to the main road. Being close to the shows is important to me. I do not like driving, after dark, in or around Branson's hilly/twisting roads. If you've never been, the only level piece of ground in Branson is the WalMart parking lot and your campsite. In the Campground section of iRV2, there are some reviews of Branson CGs.

As far as show recommendations, determine what you want to see and make reservations. Magic, song and dance, Welk, Skelton or Williams it is all there. Some have several generations of the family included in the show. Branson is one of the few "G" rated cities in the USA. Consider looking Branson up on the Internet. There you will find all the shows and can read the details. We have been to almost all the sohow. I do not like to recommend one over another. Thay are all very well done. Personal preference will dictate what each person likes the best.

We really enjoyed America's Best Campground this past summer when we had our National iRV2 rally there. They have free Wi-Fi, Pull-thru Sites, give Good Sam Discounts, and will handle getting show tickets for you.

Our favorite shows include:
Pierce Arrow, The Presley's, The Duttons, The Hughes Brothers, Soji T., The Lowe Family.
Other things you might enjoy.
Sunday Brunch @ Big Cedar Lodge
Hike or tour through Dogwood Canyon
Desert @ the "Hard Luck Diner"
We've gone to fifty shows in Branson and enjoyed them all.

I have also stayed at shenanigans and would not recommend them. I have stayed at Americas Best and would recommend them.
As for shows you have to see the Shoji Tabuchi show. He puts more into his shows than any other show in Branson as far as cost and effects. There are many great shows in Branson besides. We have been there three times in three years and have seen 15 to 20 shows.

My prefrance is Compton Ridge. We have stayed there several times thru the years. Have always had a good experiance. Lots of shade and room between sites. (Not a parking lot with hookups)

Wherever you stay, I must recommend Clay Cooper

The other named shows are certainly worthy of consideration, but I would not miss Clay if I were there again....

HERE is the correct link for America's Best Campground in Branson. This is the place we will be staying at when we go there this Summer.

We have stayed at Shenanigans(nice folks but close quarters and not level), Americas Best (very nice and not too far from the shows)and City Park (out of the way but the least expensive in the area).

As for the shows, most are great. A lot to do there and something for all of the family. Almost all give a military discount.
