Anyone know of any good campgrounds around the Kissimmee area that have wooded and spacious sites for a 39' Fifth Wheel? We also have a boat in order to do some fishing while we are in Florida.

Moss Park is operated by Orange County. Nice wooded sites and a boat ramp. Max stay may be 14 days and reservations may be tough, particularly over weekends. We really enjoy the park.

Hi belle1126,
Welcome to iRV2. Gut feel says there are close to 1K CG within 40 miles of Kissimmee. Spacious sites is a bit hard to define. Because you have specific needs, the best advice is to have a CG directory, in hand, and start calling.

For starters, consider:

Great Oak RV Resort 407-396-9092
Orange Grove CG - 407-396-6655
Sherwood Forest CG - 800-548-9981

If you would consider the Crystal River or Clermont area, post here and I can provide some additional suggestions.

We like Saddle Creek campground. It is run by Polk County Liesure services and is located just east of Lakeland just a mile and a quarter north of US 92. I realize that is a bit of a trip from Kissemme but at only $17 a night including water and electric, it isn't bad. You can almost cast into the lake from your camper and only a few campers in there. Plenty of room. We've stayed there twice now for about a week at a time. We'll go back again.

I'm a big fan of Moss Park, and it's only 22 miles from the main gate at Disney. But there are many really nice public campgrounds with trees and parks.
