Lazy L&L, north of NB, is also a great campground but be advised, camping along the Guadalupe River in the summer can be an issue--very busy along the river....and forget even getting close to the river on the 3 major holiday weekends....

We are anxiously waiting our first of two annual trips to the river. It's always the first June weekend. We go to River Road. It has a beach like area of sorts so you can have plenty of fun in the water without having to bother with going up to float. But if you want to, they have tube rentals right there and unlike other parks, they don't care if you want to use your own tube. However, we make our reservations a year in advanced for both trips, along with the group that has also made it an annual thing. So reservations can be scarce. We have an absolute blast and never want to leave. Right now the river level is so high you can't get onto it anyway. A good portion of the tent camping area at RR is under water. Due to the high levels, you actually may be able to get a spot in most camps.
