Campgrounds in Ocala, FL area

I'm wanting to winter in a different part of fla this coming yr. I would like a cg with reasonable monthly rates dont need the swimming pools , game rooms, etc. something with a country setting around the Ocala area. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a clean park around that area? thanks for any help

Try Grand Lake and Golf Resort. 4555 West Hiway 318 Orange Lake, Fl 32681. Phone 1-800-435-2291. This CG is between Gainsville and Ocala. It has paved roads and is kept real clean and neat. There is a small pitch and put golf corse on the grounds. I think they charge between $400 and $500 a month. It was full when we were there. They have about 300/400 spaces. Its on the south bank of Orange Lake off high 441 and I-75. I would recommend this CG. s/Toby

I second the Grand Lake recommendation.

Grand Lake in Orange Lake Florida, just a bit noth of Ocala is a good choice. We stayed there for a week this past spring. Staff seemed a bit apathetic, but it was toward the end of the season so maybe that's why? Nice 9 hole golf course with great rates for guests. Perfect choice if you are a golfer. We also stayed at Wilderness RV Park Estates in Silver Springs, a bit east of Ocala. This park is gorgeous - especially in the "preserve" section. Extremely reasonable rates, particularly considering how nice the park is. If golfing is not a huge priority, I would highly recommend checking out Wilderness Estates.
