Campgrounds in San Antonio Texas

Can anyone recommend. A safe campground in San Antonio, we are looking to go there for the month of February.
We don't need a lot of activities, a clean pool and pet friendly is about it.
Thanks,
Larryg17

We stayed at Travelers World RV Resort, close to downtown. It was safe and friendly. Has pool and small dog park?
We would highly recommend a stay there.

That being said, we hear the hill country north of the city is fantastic if you do not need to be downtown.

Larry,
If you can tolerate ~30 miles, look in Castroville at the Alsatian RV Resort!

We spent about a week there in May and it was very nice. They are right on the city bus line and it is easy to take the bus down to the river walk & down town. Travelers World RV Resort in San Antonio, Texas

If you stay there get the driving directions from them, much better than then directions published in the travel directory, same when leaving.

When in SA we stay at:

Hidden Valley RV Park, San Antonio, Texas 78242 - 5706 Coleman Way, From I-35, take Fischer Rd, ex 144 and go .75 mi E to entrance. Watch closely for Campground Road on your right. It is easy to miss., GPS: 29.29164, -98.61739

Very friendly and helpful owner.

We've stayed at Stone Creek several times and it's nice. Also 281 RV park north of town was decent-both allowed our Rottweiler dog which many do not.

I would second the KOA. And like said bus line right out front so you can just enjoy the area without finding a parking space. AH River walk, Alamo, the Texas Space needle and not having to drive there.

Travelers World location is hard to beat. Is right on the river, with great access to the river walk. You COULD walk all the way to downtown if you are so inclined. Not sure how far, but is doable if ambitious.

Staff was very friendly, really worked hard to help. A really great restored mission on the main road as the park - a little west. Well worth a walking tour. Shopping close by - a mile of so.
