I'll second the use of Skidaway Island State Park. We've made two trips to Savannah, on in a 5th wheel and one in the motorhome, and stayed there both times. The second was when my daughter's GS troop did the whole visiting the mother ship thing. Easy access to downtown, and for us at least, the lack of full hook-up was not a problem. The sites are good sized and easy to get into and out of. It's the place we'll stay again the next time we head to Savannah.

I just recently stayed at the Skidaway State Park and loved it. The Camp Hosts were fabulous and the Park was very quiet. I had a great, very large, pull-thru site. Didn't want to leave ! LOL
