We are planning to spend several days touring the Amish area and RV factories in early June. We'll be traveling in a 35' class A and am looking for recommendations for a local campground. Thanks!

Elkhart Campground
Great place and a convenient location. They handle all size RV with mostly pull-through sites.
Nice folks running the place. We have been there many, many times. Actually, you will see that our old red work van still lives here!

Hi Keithb56,
When in this area we will stay at the Elkhart County Fair Grounds in Goshen (574-533-3247). It is centrally located, inexpensive and clean. If that is not possible, we stay at Shipshewana South CG (260-768-4669). Shipshewana is a better location for touring the Amish sites. It is a little farther to tour the RV factories. When traveling the back roads, be very alert. Stop signs appear out of nowhere.

Shipshewana sounds like a nice spot to stay. I think our coach was built there in 2007, it is a Monaco Monarch. I believe they closed that facility in 2008.
Thanks for your help.
Keith
