Campgrounds near Jackson, Michigan?

Well be spending 7-10 days in Michigan this summer and would like to get info and recommendations on campgrounds near 1) Jackson, MI, and 2) Haslett, MI. (Have family in both places.) Anybody know of some nice campgrounds or RV parks that would give us a good weekly rate? We are also open to state parks.

Just east of Jackson (Exit 147 as I recall then turn south and east on the service road) is a County park, used to be a KOA several owners ago.. NOTE Have not been there in a while do not know if it's still in business. There are several other parks both State, County and private in area but the only one I know is the Coutny park on the freeway service drive.... NOTE there is a very steep Main Road getting into the park.

We live in Jackson. Waterloo Recreation Area, just east of town off I94 has Portage Lake State Park campground and Sugarloaf campgrounds. Both are nice. You can check them out at:

https://www.midnrreservations.com/

Check the race schedule at Michigan International Speedway, campgrounds get full and crazy on race weekends. County campgrounds at Pleasant Lake (North of town) and Swains Lake (west of town). Not as nice as the state parks.

We've not done any of the local private RV parks.
