Camping along Missouri River
No firm plans yet but sometimes in September we will travel from the Black Hills/SD to Minnesota. Somewhere along the way I would like to stay a few days in a nice RV park with direct access to the Missouri River suitable for canoeing.
Any recommendations for good camp grounds?
Thanks, JB

Even though the Black Hills is pretty far north, pay close attention to the weather reports if you want to camp near the river. There has been a LOT of flooding on all the major river systems in the Midwest this year.

By September (when the OP will be there), flooding will not be likely.

Across the river from American Creek is the Arrowwood Cedar Shore Campground which is part of a resort.
