Camping at/near Las Vegas Strip, LV, Nevada

Having spent 7 years here in Vegas, I highly recommend 'Oasis RV Resort' at 2711 Windmill Lane, Las Vegas.
***YES, it's a bit more than a KOA, etc: BUT well worth the coin.
Very secure, guarded front gate: nice pull through lots.
Only about 11 minutes off the strip: easy access in/out.
Try it, you'll like it.....

We also have been staying at Oasis a couple of times a year. At least once north and once south. This past October we were very disappointed in the security and the number of permanent residences. The was also a big Newmar rally in progress and was not as friendly as in the past. We will probably not be back.

Stayed at The Oasis for short stays 4 different years. This last year the planes passing overhead just terrible noisy. I may look into KOA Circus Circus next year. Oasis is a nice resort and you get some grass but the airport is only about 2 miles away. Moved out to Lake Mead and enjoyed peace and quiet the next week.

Last time we stayed there was over a 3 day weekend. One of the things they do to make extra money is to charge locals to use their facilities to dump their tanks. It was so busy they used the open pull through site directly across from us as a dump station. People coming and going all evening. blocking the street, heavy smell etc. Never again will I stay there.
