Camping at Pigeon Forge end of October

Headed to Ms late fall and since we drive right past Pigeon Forge, we plan on spending two or three days there. Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, and the town itself. Any of you out there have any suggestions on cg's there....good or bad. We have a 40' MH. We don't want too far out.

You must make reservations very soon, if you are not pulling a toad the koa is next to patriot park which is where the shuttle buses are and plenty of eating places in walking distance. It really depends on what area you want to be in try google.

Camping at Pigeon Forge end of October

We just did Bear Cove. Smaller park with nice facilities. A little tight but nice concrete pads. What's important is that it is fairly priced.

Our previous time we stayed at the KOA. It's more convenient and has a nicer pool. We can live without both for $25. per day less.

Just spent a week in the Pigon Forge area. We stayed at River Plantation RV Park In Sevierville, which is 15 minutes from Dollywood. Very nice campground just off the main strip.

We like Claybouth's family campground. Town trolly comes right in there and will take you to the parks. Good for kids too. absolutely need reservations. good luck mark

X2 on River Plantation. Better get reservations in quickly. That's height of fall color in that region & parks will be packed.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Camp RiversLanding RV park, (formerly Twin Mountain RV park) is where we park. It's close to everything, no need to get in the heavy parkway traffic to get to Dollywood, and many other attractions. Dixie Stampede is 4 blocks away.
The only caveat is, don't get a river edge site, as most are quite unlevel, especially for a MH, which means rear wheels are the low end. The rest of the park sites are excellent, most are completely level.
You have your choice of reserving a shady site near the pool, or full-sun on the back row, which is our choice.
Check it out on Google maps to see what I mean about convenient.
