camping in AL

We are in Theodore at Johnys RV Resort. We probably will not be back. Came to see the USS Alabama and Drum. Very interesting.

If you go South along the Western shore of Mobile Bay there is a nice campground on Dauphin Island, Dauphin Island Campground
Bellingrath Gardens is on the way and worth a visit, http://www.bellingrath.org/
From Dauphin Island you can take the ferry over to Fort Morgan, the battle of Mobile Bay took place there, (Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead) nice museum, a short ride along the coast is Gulf Shores state campground, Alabama State Parks 45 minutes East at Pensacola is the National Naval Aviation Museum, great museum and home of the Blue Angels, National Naval Aviation Museum - Home

We're heading to Johnny's in Floey, Al. this weekend. Never been there but I have been told that it is very nice and the water slides and lazy river are lots of fun. I hope that information is correct.

We drove throgh Johnnys in Foley, its nicer than where we were at. The sites are closer, not many trees. The pool and the lazy river looked good. Have a good time!!!

Spent the week at Johnny's in Foley and was as good as advertised. Sites are close together, but had nice patios with tables. Spent a lot of time in the lazy river.
