Camping in Cape Coral, FL

We plan to visit relatives in Cape Coral, FL this June. Does anyone have an RV park suggestion for the area?

We just spent the winter at Upriver RV Resort in North Ft Myers. It is only a 20 minute commute to Cape Coral and by far the best campground in the area. Give them a call at 239-543-3330.

Is this the park? It looks good and prices seem very reasonable especially for this area!

Unless you want the beach

We stayed at Red Coconut in Ft Myers Beach during spring break. Awesome but a bit pricey.

Chuck & Mary,
Was this Upriver RV Resort in a good area of town? Not bad traveling, etc??

It is in a good area of town only 1 mile east of I 75 exit 143.It is on Bayshore road which is the road to Cape Coral. You will have no problems in that area. If your looking on a map, Bayshore road turns into Pine Island road as it approaches Cape Coral, it crosses Del Prado which is the main drag in Cape Coral.

Thanks, the relatives were worried that parts of north Ft Myers were not that great of areas to be in.

Hot Hot Hot!!!!

We were there for a week last june. Walking around their subdivision at 5Am we realized why every other house is boarded up for the summer: the heat was fine but the humidity oppressive.

The KOA on Pine Island is ok., a 10 minute drive to Cape Coral.

get out for a walk before the sun comes up and you only soak about half your clothes!
