My brother-in-law is going to have surgery on Thursday at ECU and we are not having alot of luck finding a campsite in the Greenville area. There are several near Washington but we would like to be a little closer to the ECU hospital. Any help is appreciated.

Closest one to my knowledge is Twin Lakes Camping at Chocowinity. 866 315 9339
over 400+ sites

Don't think there is anything closer to the hospital

Daisylu,

We looked at the Twin Lakes website and they are on the short list with Tranter's Creek. We are checking on a place called Whispering Oaks in Greenville. They were refered to me by a friend of a friend who saw their website. They don't have sewage at each site but have a dump station on site.

Their location close to the hospital seems to be what we need at this time and I think we just reserved their last site for this weekend.

Thanks,

Just a thought....you might want to call the administration at the hospital to see if they have a place for your RV. Some major medical centers do have provisions for RV's for patients and/or families from out of town. If not, they may have worked a deal with a nearby RV park that could get you a discount. It's worth a call.

We stayed at Twin Lakes last year. It is not that far from Greenville. I have family that lives in Washington and work in Greenville.

But I second the notion that you should call the hospital. They may have a place you can park either boondock or maybe even get electric. Some hospitals accomodate those needs now.

One of our neighbors had surgery there a few years back and his wife lived in their motorhome while he was there. I don't know if they had any kind of hook ups but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask.
