Camping in the smokies

I would like to know the best campgrounds near Gatlinburg that has full hookups? I need a playground and some room for kids to run.

Hi meffrig,
Welcome to iRV2. Based on your need to keep the kids happy consider River Plantation RV Park. Go to Pigeon Forge Campground | River Plantation RV Park, Pigeon Forge RV Campground, Smoky Mountain RV Park, Sevierville RV Camping and read about it. I've stayed there many times. The place is neat, clean and well run. The only negative is a left hand turn out of the park can get interesting.

We stayed at Pine Mt. RV Resort, Pigeon Forge last fall. Great location, close to all attractions. Liked it and will return here again. RV Parks Camping in Pigeon Forge TN at Pine Mountain RV Park & Cabin Rentals, Smoky Mountains

You will find have most campgrounds do offer full hook-ups. Only two are near Gatlinburg to be on the trolley route. During the summer season parking and traffic is a problem in Gatlinburg. Camping in the Smoky's and Twin Creek. Camping in the Smoky's was lower priced where as Twin Creek is a more upper scale place with fees to show for it..
