Camping in Zion in January

Has anyone done this? Wondering how the roads are, snow conditions, safety? We have not camped in snow before, not sure we want to. Will be in that area at that time though. Thanks

We just came back from there. Zion park was great, trees are changing color.
Our weather was good, did not freeze at night. I would check this web site for weather. Intellicast - Local and National Weather Forecast, Radar, Maps and Severe Report.
Road into Zion is good but we did not have snow.
Enjoy.

Zions can get snow, but usually warms up enough to melt off quickly. It can get cold at night, as the elevation is higher than st George. The plus is it will be a lot less people!

Zions is my favorite NP!

If you are going to drive to the east entrance you could have snowy roads. Check to make sure they will still be doing tunnel escorts.

Here's some information from Zion's official site....look down at the bottom for 'Winter'. Each national park has a website like this with lots of good information. Naturally, weather predictions aren't always accurate...you could have gorgeous sunny days or snow. Keep checking the weather before you travel. Good luck!
