I'd like to get info on suggested CG's near Jekyll Island, Ga. Anything along the coast, from Savannah to N. Fla.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance!

I'd recommend the campground on the Island itself. It's full hookup, very decent and only a minute from the beach. Don't know what the bugs are like in Aug, but when we were there in Nov it was fine. We really enjoyed our stay and there's lots to do in the area. Be sure to bring your bikes.

If you want to see pics I took some here: http://wheelingit.wordpress.com/2010...yll-island-ga/

Blythe Island Regional Park Campground fits the bill. We stayed in Oct of '09 and it was an all inclusive rate of $30 for a super large pull thru with FHU, wifi and catv. Great location and a short ride to the island.

Amen. Been to Blythe Island several times. Latest was a couple weeks last Winter. I prefer the sites along the lake. There are some huge pull thrus farther back in the woods.

I took a drive around Jekyll Island while I was there. Personally I thought the sites in the Jekyll Island State Park were a little crowded but that's just me.

Depending on your travels and sightseeing, you may want to check out Savannah Oaks campground. We liked it for the simple fact that they were the only ones that offered a trolley to town. It was very convienent and accommodating.

You can't get any closer than the campground on Jekyll Island. Full hookups including cable. Easy walk to the beaches and fishing pier.
