Thinking about stopping here in June. The web site show bus tours and a hotel, nothing about RV's or camping. Has anyone camped nearby, and do you have a park to recommend?
Thanks!

Try wolfiescampground.com

Haven't stayed here myself, just a suggestion.

There is nothing close in to Dresden. Wolfies in Zanesville is closest at about half an hour away. If you can do electric only, Dillon State Park is also just outside of Zanesville. I haven't done a review on Dillon yet, but it's a nice state park campground.

Read my review on Wolfies. Also click on the link in my sig to be taken to my albums - more photos there. Ask for one of the pull thru sites if you reserve at Wolfies.

We have another member whose wife attends a function at Dresden & they stay at Buckeye Lake KOA. But it's an hour away. Here's my review on it & again, click on the link in my sig to be taken to photos.

Lazy River at Granville would be another possibility an hour away, but at least it's a straight shot across Rt-16 to get to Dresden - & you'll drive right by the Corporate office shaped like a huge Longaberger basket. It's been since 2000 when we were last there & I hear it's under new management. Gravel & grassy sites. I see on their site TL gives them high ratings, but, back in 2000, I woulda considered them more in the 7-8 range. But maybe they've improved an awful lot in 10 years.

Depends on how long you plan to stay. We were only there two days and stayed at the American Legion. It's been a couple years but as I recall it was elec and water only. It was at the edge of town so not far away. I think it was a first come first serve. I think there was 15 or so sites.

We stayed at Dillon State park a few years ago, very nice as I remember. Enjoy the baskets and the shopping. Don't forget the factory tour.

Remeber that there are two Longaberger places you want to visit. One is the corporate office and the other is the homestead; and do leave time to allow your wife to make her own basket. Here is the link:

Thank you for your insights and recommendations. Both Dillon State Park and Wolfie's look like good candidates.

Keith,

We're here now and have been here 2 other times with our mh (DW is a consultant). First stay was Lazy River, last 2 at Buckeye Lake KOA. Personally we prefer the KOA. Columbus Ohio Camping, Buckeye Lake / Columbus East Campground in Ohio - KOA in Columbus

FYI check their hours. At least right now the Homestead is closed on Wednesday.

No problem Lori. Sometimes that's a good thing when people don't remember.

Keith- not sure what type of site you want, but they have an assortment and free wifi.
