We want to RV on Padre Island this month. We have a 44 ft. Diplomat. Four or five days without any hook ups is no problem. I just don't want to go "off roading" with my coach. Looking at Malaquite. Is it possible?

Their web site talks of generator use and says they have a dump station. Sure sounds like a place for RV's to me. Why don't you call them

We spent 3 nights at Malaquite early last month. Roads are good, sites are paved. Quiet and so nice. Did have easy access dump station on the way in or out. Shouldn't have any issues unless it is very full.
Are you talking about North or South Padre Island? There is a big difference. The camping at the North Padre Island National Park HQ is very nice. They have Electric and Water and a dump station. It is small so you need to call for reservations. There are has day use for the public but the RV park area is physically isolated from that but since the beach is open to any park visitors you could see some bach traffic, especially on weekends and holidays.
