Camping or boondocking in Galveston, Tx

I have a fishing trip planned shipping out of Galveston yacht basin. Still waiting on a few phone calls but it looks like the rv parks may be booked. I was wondering if anyone knew of any campgrounds that were not on the Galveston website or if you have a suggestion for a good boondocking location.

I have a 42' toyhauler. Going down on the 9th off this month (next week). Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have not been there since the last big hurricane hit. Before that, Galveston Island State Park was good. I think it is open.

Dellenara RV Park, by far the best. On the beach at 7 mile road.

Is it absolutely necessary to be "on" Galveston Island? There are RV parks within 20 miles of there that may accommodate you.

I got a call from one of the parks who said they had a spot come available so I am no longer looking. I appreciate the replies from all of you though.
