If you are headed out Destin way, we like Topsail State park. But there are a bunch of others out there too. Get RVParky app for your phone/tablet. It's a great reference

Ft. Pickens National Seashore if you are out Pensacola way. Inexpensive, nice beaches, Fort is pretty interesting, nice and laid back. The campgrounds do NOT have sewers, but have water and 50/30 amp electric. Plentiful and clean bath houses, so your grey/black tanks will last a long time! Just don't go metal detecting on beach . . . DON'T ask me how I know.

2 campgrounds in Carrabelle , one is on the carabelle river (on timber island) .The other is across the road from carabelle beach. Both are nice for a few days.

Hi Golferdave78
Go to Ho Hum RV Park offers a quiet enviroment in a No Children Park. to get the details of Ho Hum RV Park. It is right on the water and a nice drive from Tampa. One can not get any more laid back than Ho Hum.

Camp Gulf in Destin. If you like you can park on the beach!

We stayed there a few years ago. Nice, but not a lot of frills - which we didn't need. They had sites right next to the beach. Definitely a "return to" campground if we ever get back to the general area.

I recommend Destin West in Fort Walton Beach. It can be windy because it is on the sliver of an island between the gulf and the intercoastal waterway. Easy walk across the street to the beach ... and can go down and be at the water's edge on the intercoastal.
