Well, your best bet in this area is the KOA in Newburgh. After that you have Jellystone in Gardiner, both in NY. KOA offers bus trips, and they are both about 25 min from Train station, and great riverfront restaurants. E-mail if you need further lenny@len-richrv.net

I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS OVERNIGHT PARKING FOR YOUR RV IN WEEHAWKIN NJ ACROSS FROM NYC .. THERE IS A HUGE PARKING LOT WHERE ONE OF THE FERRY STOPS ARE. SHORE RIDE (15 MIN) INTO THE CITY.
CONTACT THE NY-NJ PORT AUTHORY FOR INFO...
I NEVER PARKED RV THERE BUT HAVE GONE TO MANY
BOAT SHOWS ACROSS THE RIVER..
DON'T DRIVE IN THE CITY PLENTY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AVAIL...

Definitely the KOA in Newburgh. Great campground and offer bus trips to NYC. There is also a Yogi Bear CG kind of around the corner. We drove through it with the car and it look nice also. KOA is great though, just make sure you sign up early for the bus.
