I would like to visit Acadia this summer but only have a total of 8 days. 2 days of travel there and 2 days return. While there I want to take a whale watching trip, visit Bar Harbor, cadillac mountain, take a carriage ride, drive the loop and whatever else strikes my fancy.
I will be in a 30ft classA towing a van. So Should I attempt to get down to Blackwoods Campground(which seems to be in the middle of everything) or stay out near the entrance at the Mt. Desert Narrows or maybe the KOA. I could go without the toad but I think I will need to park the motorhome and explore in the van.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Can it be done?

4 days is plenty of time if it is not sealed in with fog. We never did get to the top of Cadillac MT. Good Luck

Definitely have your toad. There is no place to park in Bar Harbor. The whale watching is great and so is the rest of the whole area.

Four Days is plenty, it is a beautiful area. Bring the TOADS and skip the wagon ride.

Not to get too far off topic but while visiting Acadia would you all you recommend the Bar Harbor KOA or Timberland Acres in Trenton?
