I found it to be a good campground with some highway noise. It's a convenient location next to major roads but not a place to relax and enjoy, IMHO.

Clean and neat. Many rules to follow. Highway noise as stated and also a public address system with announcements during the day. Visited during the summer and it was busy with lots people moving about. I recall Candy Hill being rather pricey. If you want peace and quiet you'll probably be disappointed, but if you like activity it might please you. We've never stayed at any place quite like Candy Hill in 35 years of RVing and we likely would never return there.

The location is the best part. Not far from the interstate and downtown Winchester. The facilities are adequate but not deluxe.

We stayed there a bunch of years ago while traveling on our motorcycle and using a tent. We were the only tenters and they were very accommodating, treating us very well. We are rule followers so campground rules are never a problem for us and it is really the best option in the area. Lots to see in the area and I think I read recently that Winchester changed sides 77 times during the Civil War. Winchester is a nice town too.

Ok campground absolutely horrible management. Have made it a point to bypass this place regardless of how many extra hours of driving on my routine I-81 excursions.
