Cannabis Friendly Campgrounds ? (legal)

I am curious if anyone has come across campgrounds that are cannabis friendly in one of the legal states? I have heard that some exist but have yet to find any specifics. Not at the top of my bucket list, but something I would like to experience if and when the opportunity presents itself.

It’s legal in Colorado, wife’s a regular user, we camp around. No problems. What exactly are you looking for?

Never heard of anyone being hassled who was obeying state law.

Precisely, and in conformance with state law.

If OP is looking for a park that allows public toking around campfires, they’re more likely to be in states where cannabis is NOT legal.

I was mostly asking because I read an article about some hotels in California and other states that have designated cannabis smoking areas and or rooms. I was curious if promoting being cannabis friendly had extended to campgrounds.

I'm in North Carolina where small amounts have been decriminalized to a 3rd class misdemeanor. But that is still enough legal hassle that I don't keep any around. There is a couple bills moving through the legislature now trying to allow small amounts without penalty. I have asthma so edibles are my preference. I'll probably get to sample some when we go to Maine next summer.

Don't bet on being able to legally buy in Maine next summer. They are still working on the details of how retail sales will be managed. Maybe something will happen, but if not, stop in Massachusetts as they do have retail locations open .

Just remember, if you are in a legal state it doesn't apply to federal land such as BLM, NPS and NFS.

Thanks! That is a disappointment, but a couple days in the Berkshires can be fitted in.

What one does inside their RV is their business. Hoping people don't start smoking that stuff outside so much that it stinks up the area. The strip in Las Vegas now just smells like weed. Not cool.

I suspect many want to flaunt the new laws by going overboard and smoking anywhere and everywhere.

Remember DO NOT try to cross the Canada US border even to a legal state. Federal law is a no go. Purchase on either side when you get there.

I wouldn't want to be around someone smoking a fatty in public as the smell is revolting. I prefer they drink as there are no noxious odors invading other campsites.
