We are also veterans of 7 Feathers. Beautiful campground with wonderful facilities. Pleasure to be able to swim indoors in February! (but we didn't much like the casino food that everyone here raved about).

Never camped in Anacortes as we live on Whidbey Island!! (yes - everyone also asks us why we have an RV - answer - to go to Palm Desert in the winter).

Seems like it would be great to live in PNW in the summer time. Wouldn't need to spend much on gas to "get away"
Although it is hard to beat the SW weather in the wintertime.

We are originally from Philadelphia and retired to Whidbey Island (an Island between Seattle and Victoria, BC) a little over 4 years ago. 8 months of the year - March thru October - you can't get us away from here; it is truly the most wonderful place on earth....but November thru February? As someone else once said, "I'd rather be in Philadelphia."
